Engagement at NEXT2017

Published: Tuesday, February 21, 2017 By: Jeff Durocher, US Poker & Casino Parties

Be sure to stop by Roger Haskett’s talk “Create Engagement’ at the upcoming NEXT2017 MPI event in Chicago.  Roger has a passion for helping people find and act on engagement.  Be ready for a fun filled session that incorporates music, games, trivia and more to meet his promise that ‘it will be a blast!’

Roger, a teacher and an actor has always been looking for ways to make things easier for people and to figure out how best to communicate effectively by talking in a language that you understand.  Engagement is here to stay.  We’ve figured it out.  Humans NEED engagement with other humans.  It’s biological and these days it is easy for us to engage people via technology vs in person.  Roger will provide you with a framework and tips/tricks to be more engaging.  He’s a firm believer that engagement = ROI.  You can use what you learn in in your private life, career, with your clients/customers and in everyday relationships.

Engagement is defined in two ways:

1.Social:  it’s very inclusive, personal and involves other people.  Engagement is contagious.  It’s a force.  If 3 people are engaged in a conversation, we are naturally drawn to them to see what is so engaging.  As humans, we crave engagement.

2.Active:  Engagement is something you lean into.  We say to ourselves:  I am interested in that and we then make it happen.  If there is no engagement, we are not drawn to it.

Drop in for the fun but you may also learn valuable skills to advance your personal and career.  Be sure to ask him about his biggest success.  It’s a wonderful story about how he turned a disengaged, hostile environment into a winning success.  Don’t say I didn’t warn you!
